FRAMELESS CABINETRY
- Adjusting Doors and
Drawers:
It is important to know that
during the shipping and installation process frameless cabinetry can
get out of adjustment. This is very normal and not a defect in the
cabinetry. It is the installer's job to be aware of this and to make
the necessary adjustments.
It is very important BEFORE
your cabinets are installed, to remove ALL doors and drawers from their
bases. Prior to doing this, use painters tape to mark each base,
door, and drawer so you can replace each piece to its original place.
Make sure you place the drawers and doors in a clean, dry, and
safe location.
Make sure the doors and
drawers are removed during the installation of countertops and
appliances.
Once everything is installed,
it is time to hang and adjust the doors and adjust drawer fronts.
Most frameless cabinets have a six way
adjustable hinges. (click on link for instructions)
For drawer adjustments:
Always drill for handles or knobs after all drawers are
installed and adjusted properly. Always start from the bottom drawer and
work up. Loosen screws; this allows you to move the drawer front into
position. The gaps between both the drawer fronts and between the fronts
and the countertop should be approximately 1/8".
